Throughout my life as I’ve spent time exploring the beauty surrounding me in Utah, I’m always drawn to the Salt Flats. Whenever I meet a couple that understands the same allure and magic that can be found along the dry salty lake bed, I know we’re going to have a incredible time together. E&Y’s dreamy Salt Flats elopement was filled with everything that is the Bonneville Salt Flats. Between the bright smokey light bouncing off the salt, to the blue hour hue right after sunset, it is always breathtaking.

Emotional Moments + Intimate First Look

Before E&Y promised their forevers to one another, they shared an emotional first look. One of my favorite parts of the Salt Flats is the opportunity to allow the intimate moment take center stage. Gone are the distractions of a venue, or surrounding landscape, the Salt Flats allow your story to shine. After E&Y’s first look, we took a few quick couples portraits before their Salt Flats elopement ceremony. Surrounded by their closest two friends and E’s mother, they promised each other forever. This was a moment that will be cherished and looked back on for years to come.

Salt Flats Elopement Portraits

After their ceremony, our bride changed into the Jasmine Salt Gown dress for some bridal portraits. While E changed into a black suit. The blush tulle gown was a stunning complement to E’s black suit. Also standing out beautifully against the creamy white Salt Flats. Nevertheless, the stark contrast between E’s suit and the Salt Flats was magic. If you’re planning your Salt Flats elopement, consider darker tones or an outfit change. Because of the beauty that is the Bonneville Salt Flats our couple opted to keep things simple. Their Salt Flats elopement decor was minimalist and perfect. Featuring a dark wood wedding arch, adorned with pampas grass, palms, and florals. It was just the touch needed to bring the event together. Later, E&Y cut their wedding cake and celebrated with champagne. I love the simplicity and minimalist approach E&Y opted for, it really let their connection and the Salt Flats shine.
