Moab is the spot where adventurous thrill seekers come to play. You can experience breathtaking views while hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, off roading and so much more. Many are drawn to Moab for its unique red sandstone that was water carved over thousands of years. When you choose to elope in Moab, you understand the magnitude and elegant nature of this land. When A&A reached out about their plans for a Moab elopement, I couldn’t say yes fast enough.
A&A had originally planned for a big destination wedding out of the country, however when that was no longer an option, they set their sights on Moab. Between the high epic cliffs, and the adventurous nature of Moab, it’s no wonder over 1.6 million people visit every year. This red rocked desert environment was the perfect spot for an epic love story. Sometimes eloping is an incredible option for you and your partner. Not only is the moment so intimate and emotional, but so much less stressful than planning a huge elaborate wedding. We also choose a sunrise elopement before the summer heat set in (afternoons are hot during the summer) and we also had the whole canyon to ourselves. It was absolutely perfect for that intimate elopement that A&A were most excited for. I definitely recommended Sunrise Elopements in Moab, so you can really enjoy it without the crowds or tourists. It is just you and your partner and the epic views.
I arrived early to capture all of the details and my couple getting ready in their cabins along the beautiful Colorado river. Once they were ready at dawn, they shared their private first look near the river. Then we drove 5 minutes away for their incredible Sunrise Elopement location. A&A’s choice to elope was for them, and the emotions throughout their day were so genuine and heartfelt. They had their best friends join them for the ceremony, and become ordained to officiate their wedding. The relationship shared between these friends made the whole elopement that much more unique. Surrounded by the breathtaking red pillars, and incredible desert feel, the couple were married. The Moab area and Arches National Park is a destination filled with endless opportunities for adventure and story-telling. It’s hard to not fall in love in with such a beautiful location, ready for your next adventure?
